When I think back to my childhood, I can't help but remember the pure joy and excitement of hosting dinner parties with my brother in our parents' garage. We would scrounge up leftovers and “locally sourced” fresh fruit from the fields and groves nearby, creating a feast for our neighborhood friends. Those moments were filled with laughter, love, and a true passion for bringing people together through food.
As I grew older, my love for cooking only deepened. Weekly themed dinners with friends opened our eyes to a world of flavors and cultures, from Soul Food to Middle Eastern to Indian to African and everything in between.
After graduating High School, although my heart was in Culinary Arts, my size (always being a "healthy child") said something different, and I entered the field of Public Service, where I served for over two decades. I continued to share my love of cooking by catering small parties, banquets, and friends' gatherings on occasions, but as time went on my heart pulled on me more to share my love with wider audiences. With the unwavering support of my wife, I took a leap of faith and launched Souled-Out Foods Catering Service on September 30, 2023
